Police and emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal collision after a bike rider was struck by a car in Eganstown this morning.
Investigators believe a male rider was struck by a car on the Midland Highway about 9.55am.
The driver of the vehicle, an 81-year-old Newlyn man, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
A man believed to be in his50's, sadly died at the scene.
The Midland Highway is currently blocked in both directions with diversions in place.
The Major Collision Investigation Unit will be attending the scene.
