Police are investigating following a single vehicle crash in Carlsruhe this morning (4 August), Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a white Kia Carnival was travelling west on the Calder Freeway just after 2.15am when it veered off the road and crashed into centre safety barrier.
The yet to be identified male driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
