Police are investigating a fatal crash on the Thiele Highway at Eudunda this morning.
About 9.20am on Friday 21 December, police and emergency services were called to the Thiele Highway just south of the township after a motorcycle hit a tree.
The motorcycle rider, a 67-year-old man from Colonel Light Gardens, was initially treated by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Sadly, the man died while being transported to hospital.
The Thiele Highway was closed for several hours while local police examined the circumstances surrounding the crash but has since been reopened.
The man's death brings the state's road toll to 75 compared with 96 at the same time last year.
