A man has died after his car rolled down an embankment at Hiamdale this morning, Victoria Police say.
It is understood the man was travelling along Gormandale-Stradbroke Road in convoy with another vehicle when he attempted to overtake it about 1.30am.
The car lost control and veered through some trees before crashing over an embankment.
The driver and sole occupant, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
Police do not believe there was any speed involved however are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
Road closures are currently in place in the area and Gormandale-Stradbroke Road has been blocked between Gormandale and Willung.
