Police have charged a man with cause death by dangerous driving, following a fatal crash that claimed the life of a woman at Kapunda early this morning, according to SA Police.
At 2am on Tuesday 27 September, a Holden Commodore rolled on Tarlee Road about five kilometres west of the Kapunda Township.
Emergency service crews attended the scene but sadly, the 29-year-old passenger, who is from Kapunda, died at the scene.
The 34-year-old male driver was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Earlier this evening Major Crash Investigators arrested and charged the driver with cause death by dangerous driving. The man of no fixed place has been refused police bail and remains in the Royal Adelaide Hospital under police guard.
The arrested man is expected to appear before a Magistrate sometime on Wednesday 28 September 2016.
This fatal crash brings the state’s road toll to 63 compared to 69 at the same time last year.
