Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred near Pomonal this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Officers believe a ute was headed north along Pomonal Road about 4.20pm when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The ute left the road and crashed in a tree.
The driver, believed to be woman, died at the scene.
The investigation into the crash continues.
