Police are currently at the scene of a fatal crash that has claimed the life of a man in Koonwarra (near Wonthaggi) this morning, Victoria Police say.
Police believe the prime mover with a milk tank trailer was travelling south-east along the South Gippsland Highway at Koonwarra about 5.45am.
It appears the driver lost control of the vehicle and the truck has rolled before leaving the roadway.
The man, a 50 year-old man from Meeniyan and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
Wonthaggi police are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are keen to speak to any witnesses.
