Fatal crash in Narrabri

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner after a man was killed in the state’s north overnight, NSW Police say.

Just before 7.30pm yesterday, emergency services were called to the intersection of Homestead Road and Ten Mile Lane, Edgeroi, about 30km north of Narrabri, after a crash involving two white Toyota Land Cruisers.

One of the vehicles rolled onto its roof; the two occupants were thrown from the vehicle which rolled on them.

A 36-year-old man died at the scene. A 38-year-old man was released and airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 42-year-old man, was taken to Narrabri Hospital suffering shock and has since been released.

Officers from Barwon local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Officers from the Oxley Crash Investigation unit continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
