A 17-year-old boy has died following a serious crash at Lake Plains this morning
About 2.35am on Sunday 9 April, police and emergency services were called to Lake Plains Road after reports of a crash between a car and a tree.
The driver of a Honda station wagon, a 17-year-old boy from Strathalbyn sadly passed away at the scene.
Major Crash are at the scene and are still investigating the incident.
Lake Plains Road will be closed for all traffic between Taverner Road and Borrett Road for several hours.
The death is the 43rd life lost on South Australian roads this year compared to 20 at the same time last year.
