A person has died after being struck by a car in Matamata tonight.
Police were notified at 9.35pm that a car had struck a pedestrian on Waharoa Road East.
The pedestrian was critically injured and sadly died at the scene.
Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to follow the directions of emergency services staff.
