Inquiries continue after a fatal crash near Cootamundra overnight, NSW Police say.
About 12.15am (Friday 23 February 2018), a vehicle was travelling on Muttama Road, Muttama, when it left the road and hit a tree.
After the impact with the tree, the car caught fire. The driver and sole occupant, believed to be an 18-year-old man, died at the scene.
Muttama Road was closed while investigations into the crash took place. The road reopened about 9am today.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
