Fatal Crash Near Leeton: Police Respond

A woman has died over a single vehicle crash in state's south.

Just after 6.30am on Thursday (20 February 2025), emergency services were called to Barellan Road, Colinroobie, northwest of Leeton, following reports of a single vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District were told a van was found damaged out of the roadway.

The driver – a 42-year-old woman – died at the scene.

Initial inquires alleged the van has crashed into a ditch and a tree sometime earlier in the same morning.

There were no other injuries reported due to this incident.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
