Fatal crash north of Albury

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner following the death of a woman after a single-vehicle crash near Albury this evening.

Emergency services were called to Urana Road, Burrumbuttock, about 25km north of Albury, at 6pm (Saturday 26 October 2019), after a car left the road, struck a tree and rolled.

The female driver died at the scene but an 18-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl escaped major injury.

They were taken to Albury Base Hospital and checked as a precaution.

Officers from Murray River Police District were assisted at the scene by Traffic & Highway Patrol, NSW Ambulance, SES and Albury Border Rescue.

Inquiries are continuing into the cause of the crash.
