Sadly, a young man had died has a result of the crash at the intersection of Bathurst Street and the Brooker Highway early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 4.00am.
The passenger of one of the vehicles, an 18-year-old from the Hobart area, was deceased. The male driver and passenger of the vehicle received serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was the only occupant, and he also received serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Investigations in the cause of the crash are continuing. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact police on 131 444.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
