Police can confirm one person has died following a crash on the Southern Motorway, near Drury, this morning.
Emergency services responded to reports of the single-vehicle crash at the Bremner Road overbridge around 10.30am.
Sadly, one person died at the scene.
Our thoughts are with their friends and family at this difficult time.
A number of diversions have been in place today while the scene is cleared and damage to the overbridge is assessed.
Both the north and southbound lanes remain closed at this stage and traffic will continue to be diverted this afternoon.
The Bremner Road overbridge is also still closed between Creek and Victoria Roads.
Police will provide an update once assessors have established the area is safe for travel.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing.
