Police can confirm one person has died following a crash in Whangārei on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to the crash involving a motorcycle on Western Hills Drive around 1.30pm.
One person was transported to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition however has since sadly died today as a result of their injuries.
Police extend their condolences to their family and friends at this difficult time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing.
