A man has died during a single-vehicle crash on the New South Wales-Victoria border earlier today.
About 7.00am today (Tuesday 30 May 2023), emergency services were called to the Mulwala-Barooga Road at Boomanoomana, west of Albury, following reports of a single vehicle crash.
Officers from Murray River Police District attended and found a Hyundai I-load van had left the roadway and collided with a tree and burst into flames.
The driver and only occupant of the vehicle – a man believed to be aged in his 50s, died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
