A man has died in a single-vehicle crash in the state's northwest overnight.
About 2am today, (Monday 10 March 2025), emergency services were called to Barnes Street, Taminda, about 5km west of Tamworth, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and found a Ford sedan had crashed into a power pole.
An 18-year-old occupant – died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The driver – a 25-year-old man – was treated for a serious leg injury and taken to Tamworth Hospital for mandatory testing.
Two passengers – an 18-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman – were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Tamworth Hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
