A man has died following a fatal crash in the south east in the early hours of this morning.
Just before 3am today, Sunday 14 November police were called to the Riddoch Highway ,Tarpeena following reports a car had hit a tree.
One occupant of the Ford Sedan, a 31-year-old man from Mount Gambier sadly died at the scene.
Major Crash Investigators are attending from Adelaide to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Riddoch Highway south of Tarpeena is closed in both directions while police remain at the scene.
The man's death is the 87th life lost on SA road's compared with 77 at the same time last year.
