Police can confirm one person has died following a crash on Te Poi Road earlier this afternoon.
The crash involved a vehicle and a motorbike, and was reported to Police about 1:20pm.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the motorbike rider passed away at the scene a short time later.
Te Poi Road remains closed. The Serious Crash Unit are in attendance.
