A man has died following a gyrocopter crash in the states north yesterday.
About 4.30pm yesterday (Saturday 12 August 2023), emergency services were called to Allworth, about 35km north of Raymond Terrace, after a gyrocopter crashed into bushland off The Buckets Way.
Officers Port Stephens-Hunter Police District located one 70-year-old man deceased at the scene.
Another man, aged 53, was located with serious injuries at the scene as well.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident is underway.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
