A man has died following a house fire at Gilles Plains early this morning.
Just after 11.30pm on Saturday 14 September, police were called to a home on Edwards Court after a neighbour reported the property was on fire.
When police and MFS arrived, the home was engulfed in flames.
Fire Crews retrieved an unconscious man from inside the home but sadly, the 74-year-old man died at the scene.
Fire Cause Investigators attended the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
The fire is not believed to be suspicious, and police will be preparing a report for the coroner.
