Fatal House Fire in Blacktown: Emergency Crews Respond

A man has died in a house fire in Sydney's west.

About 4.05pm today (Saturday 4 January 2025), emergency services were called to Grant Street, Blacktown, following reports of a house fire.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended, alongside Fire and Rescue NSW crews, who extinguished the blaze.

A man, age unknown, was removed from the premises by Fire and Rescue crews.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; but he died at the scene.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
