Fatal House Fire in Toowoomba, Emergency Crews Responding

A man has died following a house fire in Toowoomba this afternoon, May 31.

Emergency services were called to the Wallace Street property in Newtown at approximately 3pm to reports of a house fire.

A 89-year-old man was pulled from the fire but was declared deceased at the scene.

Initial investigations indicate the fire is non-suspicious; however, investigations into the cause are ongoing.
