A person has died following a house fire near Picton this morning.
Emergency services were called to a property at the intersection of Menangle and Picton Roads, Razorback, just before 4.30am (Wednesday 1 June 2022), after reports of a fire.
Officers from Camden Police Area Command attended along with Fire and Rescue NSW, where a home was found well alight.
The blaze was extinguished; however, the occupant was found deceased inside. They have not been formally identified.
A crime scene has been established, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
