Fatal Motorcycle Crash at Beenleigh: Police Respond

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash at Beenleigh tonight, August 16.

Emergency services were called about 7pm to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a car at the intersection of Harburg Drive and Logan River Road.

Initial investigations indicate a white Mazda 3 was turning right onto Harburg Drive and a Suzuki RN85 motorbike, was travelling in a westerly direction along Logan River Road, when the two vehicles collided.

Upon arrival, the motorbike rider, a 29-year-old Holmview man, was located with critical injuries.

Despite attempts to revive the motorbike rider, he was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the Mazda, a 26-year-old Bethania man, was physically uninjured.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or may have relevant dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
