Fatal Motorcycle Crash at Howes Valley Spurs Police Action

A man has died following a crash in the state's Hunter Valley region on the weekend.

About 10.50am (Sunday 9 February 2025), emergency services were called to Putty Road, Howes Valley, about 40kms southwest of Singleton, following reports of a single-motorcycle crash.

Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District attended and found a motorcycle had left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The rider – a 28-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics: however, he died at the scene.

A crime scene was established as police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
