Baw Baw Highway Patrol officers are investigating following a fatal collision that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Jacob Creek this morning.
Emergency services were called to Tyers-Walhalla Road where it is believed a 4WD and a group of six motorcycles collided about 11.30am.
A male rider, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
One of the other male riders was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The occupants of the 4WD were taken to hospital for assessment.
Police are currently on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
It is expected the road will be closed for several hours between Bluff Road and Cowwarr Road.
