Fatal Pedestrian Crash At Lake Macquarie 19 March

A pedestrian has died following a crash at Lake Macquarie this morning.

About 6.30am today (Wednesday 19 March 2025), emergency services were called to Croudace Bay Road, Valentine following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

Officers attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who treated the pedestrian, an 80-year-old man.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the car, a man aged 77, was taken to Belmont Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and examined by officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District.
