A pedestrian has died following a crash in Sydney's west.
About 7:45pm today, Thursday 27 March 2025, emergency services were called to Carlisle Ave, Mount Druitt following reports of a crash.
On arrival, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command found a 57-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
The man was carrying a one-year-old child at the time of the crash.
The 57-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics however he died at the scene.
A short time later, a man, believed to be the child's father, presented to Mount Druitt Hospital with the child who was then transported to Westmead Children's Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the car allegedly left the scene.
A crime scene has been established and the Crash Investigation Unit has commenced an investigation.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
