Fatal Pedestrian Incident, Edmonton

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal motorbike and pedestrian incident in Edmonton this morning, December 9.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Swallow Road around 10am, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a motorbike.

The male pedestrian has died at the scene.

The motorbike rider, a man in his 50s, was taken to Cairns Hospital in a critical condition.

Investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information, relevant dashcam or CCTV vision is urged to come forward.

The intersection remains closed.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and expect delays.
