A crash at Kingsthorpe, Toowoomba this morning claimed the life of a young driver and left three males hospitalised.
Around 00.30am a sedan was travelling along East Street when it left the roadway near the intersection with North Street, hitting a tree.
All four occupants were entrapped in the vehicle.
The driver, a 21-year-old Wyreema man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The three passengers, aged 26, 17 and 17 and from the Oakey area, were hospitalised with serious injuries, with the 26 and 17-year old transported by helicopter to Brisbane, and the other boy transported by road to Toowoomba Hospital.
