Emergency services are at the scene of a fatal single-vehicle crash near Mudgee.
About 8.30am today (Monday 15 July 2019), emergency services were called to the Bylong Valley Way, about 8 kilometres west of Kandos, after a Holden commodore left the road and hit a tree.
The male driver and sole occupant died at the scene.
Officers from Orana-Mid Western Police District have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Bylong Valley Way is closed between Kandos and Ilford with local traffic diversions in place. Motorists are advised to plan an alternate route.
