Fatal Traffic Collision Prompts Queensland Police Response

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Deception Bay yesterday, June 20.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 6.15pm, a Kawasaki Ninja motorbike was traveling along Deception Bay Road when it crashed with a Nissan Navara utility near the Zammit Street intersection.

The rider, a 36-year-old Fitzgibbon man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The other driver, a 66-year-old Burpengary East woman, and her three passengers were not physically injured.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision is urged to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
