Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for witnesses following a fatal traffic crash in Birkdale on January 20.
Initial investigations indicate around 11.30am, a 79-year-old Birkdale man was travelling on a mobility scooter when he was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Old Cleveland Road and Buckingham Street.
The 79-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, where he has since passed away on January 23.
The driver of the Audi Q5, a 34-year-old Birkdale man, was not physically injured.
Anyone with dashcam or CCTV in the vicinity of the crash is urged to contact police.
Investigations into the circumstances are continuing.
