The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Advancetown on the Gold Coast this afternoon, February 4.
Initial investigations indicate at approximately 3.30pm, a motorbike was travelling along Nerang Murwillumbah Road when it left the road and crashed.
The rider, a 72-year-old Surfers Paradise man, was declared deceased at the scene.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision or CCTV of the incident, or lead up to, is urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
