A man has been charged following a fatal traffic crash in Dimbulah early this morning, Queensland Police say.
At around 3:40am police were called to Burke Development Road, approximately 100 meters east of the Minsini Road intersection, following reports of an injured man lying on the roadway.
On arrival officers located an 18-year-old Mareeba man deceased at the scene.
Following investigations a 34-year-old Dimbulah man has been charged with driving without due care and attention causing death and failing to remain at a road incident and assist an injured person.
He is due to appear in Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 15.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
