Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in Mourilyan overnight, Queensland Police say.
Initial information suggests around 8pm a vehicle travelling along Boogan Road has left the roadway and struck a power pole.
The passenger, a 59-year-old South Johnstone woman, was transported to the Innisfail Hospital and was pronounced deceased.
The male driver, a 22-year-old South Johnstone man, was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The Cairns Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
