Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash between a vehicle and freight train at Yalbooro north of Mackay this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 10am, a service vehicle carrying supplies for harvesting equipment was travelling on Wagoora Yalboroo Road, when it was struck by the train.
A 66-year-old Calen man and sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit attended the scene and are currently assisting other agencies with the investigation.
The train driver was not injured but treated at the scene for shock.
