Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash which occurred on Gatton Helidon Road this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Just before 4pm, police were called to the scene following reports of a two-vehicle-crash.
The driver of one car, a 82-year-old man, was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
The 47-year-old female driver of the other car was transported by QAS to the Ipswich Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Her 21-year-old male passenger was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
