The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a two-vehicle traffic crash near Peets Bridge at Goldsborough this morning, October 4.
Initial information indicates a utility and a motorbike collided at the intersection of Gillies Range Road and Downing Road just after 10am.
The male motorbike rider sustained life-threatening injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The 75-year-old male driver of the utility sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Investigations are continuing, police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has any relevant dashcam vision, to come forward.
The Gillies Range Road has now reopened, however motorists are urged to drive with care.
