Fatal Traffic Crash Under Investigation in Southern Downs

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in the Southern Downs this afternoon, November 11.

Just after 2pm, a yellow Ford Falcon was travelling on Washpool Road in Leslie Dam when it left the road, crashed into a tree, and caught on fire.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Warwick boy, died at the scene.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing to any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision at the time of the incident to come forward.
