Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating after a man died in a traffic incident near Yeppoon late this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Initial inquiries indicate about 5.15pm a vehicle was towing another vehicle on the beach near Hinz Avenue when the towing strap has given way and struck the man who was driving the lead vehicle.
The 26-year-old Yeppoon man died at the scene.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
