A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state's Central West today.
About 12.10pm today (Monday 8 July 2024), emergency services were called to the Newell Highway, about 15kms north of Forbes, following a crash involving a truck and a car.
The driver of the car - a man in his 60s - died at scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
Officers attached to Central West Police District attended and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
As inquiries continue, anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is urged to contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
