A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south west.
About 9:15pm today (Tuesday 3 December 2024), emergency services were called to the M7 northbound on Elizabeth Drive, Cecil Hills, following reports of crash.
Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and were told a car and a truck travelling in the opposite direction had collided head on.
The driver of the car, a man believed to be in his 50s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The truck driver, a man believed to be in his 50s, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.
M7 Motorway is closed northbound between Cowpasture Road and Elizabeth Drive. Use Cowpasture Road and The Horsley Drive to return to the M7 Motorway. Updates are available on www.livetraffic.com.
