Monash Council was pleased to receive a funding commitment for the upcoming federal election from Dr Katie Allen, the Liberal candidate for Chisholm, of $2.5m for the development of our Waverley Hockey Club site in Ashwood. This commitment includes $2m towards a second pitch and associated infrastructure and $500k for the upgrade of a pavilion to serve both the Waverley Hockey Club and the Victorian Sikh Association.
There is no set date for the federal election, but it is due to take place this year. We encourage you to check and, if necessary, update your enrolment details on the Australian Electoral Commission website.
