Festival Set To Light Up Moorabbin Junction Again

A family enjoying the festival

Rug up and get along to Moorabbin Junction After Dark on Saturday 10 August to experience the best in family friendly fun this winter.

Even bigger, brighter, and better than last year, Station Street's winter festival is back, as we again celebrate all things local.

This all-ages and fully accessible event will include live music, roving puppetry, interactive art installations, glow-in-the-dark face painting and art, creative workshops and exhibitions at the Kingston Arts Centre, a silent disco, delicious food, and much more!

Neon light artist Carla O'Brien from Volter International will transform Station Street into an immersive and interactive pop-up wonderland from twilight until after dark and businesses along Station Street will be open late, offering specials and delicious winter-warming dishes to dine in or take away.

You won't want to miss out on an Instagram-worthy selfie against an exciting and unexpected backdrop of light, colour, and interactive art.

The event will include.

  • Interactive neon light art installations the entire length of Station Street
  • Glow in the dark face painting
  • Gourmet food (takeaway and dining in options available)
  • Signature drinks and including 'spiked' hot chocolate and Moorabbin After Dark brew
  • Live music
  • Silent disco
  • Roving glowing puppetry and installations by The Indirect Object

  • Youth Art Expo 2024, Big Dreams (kingstonarts.com.au/Whats-On/visual-arts/all-exhibitions/Youth-Art-Expo-2024-BIG-DREAMS) and creative workshops at the Kingston Arts Centre

A full program of events, experiences, and food offerings will be posted on social media and on the Council website over the coming weeks, so keep your calendar free.
