Festivale Serves Up Another Fresh Program

Tasmanian Government

Launceston's most iconic food and wine celebration is planning another showcase of the State's best offerings.

Festivale will return to Launceston's City Park in February with more than 70 stallholders set to serve up a diverse spread of the finest Tasmanian produce and dishes from around the world.

Minister for Sports and Events, Nick Duigan, said the event has been locked in, as part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future.

"The Tasmanian Government is proud to support this event with $1.285 million through Events Tasmania's Major Event Partnership Program to aid delivery of the event in 2025, 2026 and 2027," Minister Duigan said.

"Festivale has truly established itself as an iconic event that locals and visitors returned to each summer to share in the celebrations of Tasmania's food, beverage and entertainment.

"Events like Festivale are important for regional visitation but also for local stallholders who rely on major events like this to promote and sell their products.

"These events generate economic and cultural benefits for our major cities, as well as for regional areas of our state."

The 2025 entertainment program is looking jam-packed, with local musicians as well as national headliners – including Amy Shark and Birds of Tokyo – along with a strong comedy line-up, live chef demonstrations and family-friendly activities.

"With the 2024 event being a sellout success, I encourage all Tasmanians to purchase their tickets sooner rather than later, to avoid missing out," Minister Duigan said.

"I can't wait to see thousands pack out the park and celebrate the State's best produce once again."

The event will be held in City Park from January 31, until February 2. Tickets and event information are available at festivale.com.au.
