Queensland is certainly not short on great visitor attractions over the school holidays with a festive line up in store for families.
David Fleay Wildlife Park on the Gold Coast is offering discounted tickets with adult passes at kids' prices, and free entry for children as a special deal along with exciting wild holiday programs
Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre has plenty of wildlife attractions to keep families occupied, including Billy the wombat who is enjoying his new enclosure, and Dash the emu who often acts as tour guide leading visitors around the wallaby circuit.
Fort Lytton National Park is an important historic site and was used for the defence of Brisbane until the end of WWII.
Visitors can explore the pentagonal fortress concealed behind grassy embankments.
Rangers are expecting high visitation numbers of the holidays, prompting a reminder that visitors will need to be double vaccinated come December 17.
Visitors will need to adhere to Queensland Health guidelines which involves all visitors having received two doses a COVID-19 vaccine and using a QR code to check in upon arrival.
From December 17, all visitors to the following centres/guided tours will require proof of vaccination:
