Fifteen Players Share Saturday Lotto Windfall

SYDNEY (Nov. 11, 2024) – Fifteen players across New South Wales are celebrating a $1.3 million windfall after their syndicate hit the jackpot in Saturday’s Lotto draw.

The syndicate, known as "SY14 Same Num," held one of four Division One winning entries in Saturday Lotto Draw 4519, drawn on November 9. Each Division One entry received $1,280,804.05.

Their System 14 entry also delivered smaller wins, lifting the syndicate’s total prize to $1,356,217.45. Each member of the group will walk away with a share worth $90,414.50.

Some syndicate members may still be unaware of their $90,000 win. Their entry was unregistered, so lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets.

The syndicate ticket was sold at Keppel Street Newsagency in Bathurst, with shares also available at 12 other outlets across New South Wales. Locations included Belmont City News & Gifts, Burwood Plaza Newsagency, and Devonshire Street Newsagency in Surry Hills.

Keppel Street Newsagency owners Urvish Damwala and Abhishek Jariwala said they were thrilled by the win. “We’ve been playing the same numbers for two months and had a feeling it would win soon,” said Mr. Damwala.

A couple who came in Sunday morning had no idea they were winners until the newsagents told them. “They were in tears of joy,” he added.

This is the newsagency’s fifth big win since the owners took over 21 months ago. “Bathurst is truly lucky,” said Mr. Jariwala.

The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre reminded players to register their tickets. She noted that some syndicate members with unregistered tickets may still be unaware of their good fortune.

“We’ve reached out to registered members, but others may not yet know they’re part of this winning group,” McIntyre said.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto Draw 4519 were 30, 39, 6, 37, 5, and 43, with supplementary numbers 45 and 17. Four Division One tickets were sold—one each in New South Wales and Victoria, and two in Western Australia.
